From my understanding, he gives you a present according to the day of the week. For me, it was Saturday, six obsidian chunks.

I believe that MrBegorrah is also more common than MrBlarney! Not totally sure on that, as its just a theory, but I have only seen MrBlarney once, and MrBegorrah numerous times.
