Can you breed horses that are related to preserve stat values?

You cannot breed parents to their offspring, or breed siblings to each other (including half siblings).

Half siblings meaning sire or dam are the same, with different either sire or dam?

So then you can breed third generation horses together?

LiveGreen, I believe so. So long as there is no restrictions on breeding cousins, you should be able to.

You can breed a foundation (1st generation) to a 3rd generation. You cannot breed 2 horses if they have the same sire/dam.

Example-

Horse #1 (lets make this one a stud)
Sire- Epic Bad Influence Dam- Fancy Blue

Horse #2 (this would be the mare)
Sire- Epic Bad Influence Dam- Diamond

~These 2 horses cannot breed as they have the same sire. Lets say Horse #1 sire's a filly, and Horse #2 foals a colt. Those 2 horses could breed even thought they have the same grandsire.

There is no limitation as to breeding cousins to each other.

You can also breed Grandsire/dam to their grandfoals. I have a few of those and have been able to start setting genes that way for some of the breedings.
