First i found it irritating now I find it amusing, since I have a horse catching rate of 99% most people are about to be disappointed when they flock to me

I do flock to stopping people out of several reasons: I'm curious I want to see what they are about to catch, what breed what color, I love to see what avatars lead to which horse. And second I want to know the re-spawning points of wilds. If someone is catching a wild at a certain spot the chances are high when you check the place again next time, that there might be a wild for you.

But I confess I'm guilty: when people shout at me -it's mine- or -I found it- or - NOOOO- it triggers my horse catching mode and I try to snatch it.

And I have no qualms to stop at someones side when I was horse catching and the spot was on my check list.

So me it is 1).

If I see someone following me, I usually stop and hide behind a tree with just my horses rump showing (or head if I'm riding bareback). I love doing that to people who follow me.

I hate it when randoms just come up and try to get your horse :P i came to help a freiend get ahorse (she was full) and someone followed me all the way there. we were able to make our trade in time and she started catchin it. she was missing so she quit and i got it for her. but it was really rude that someone was following and sitting by us the whole time.

When i was a newb i did this all the time. sometimes if they have been there a while go up to them. they may have failed.

A wild horse is no ones property until caught XD

What irks me, is the players that catch every single horse, just because they can. You really shouldn't catch horses other player's have found that you don't even want. Its not against the rules, no. But its pretty rude.

Sometimes I wish people would stop and think. "How would I feel if they were me?"

Sometimes people catch horses they don't want if they need it for Ares' quest. Sometimes they do it for the exp. When I see a wild horse, even though its not a breed or color I like, I still catch it. Why? Because I can. I can get exp, and money if I sell it later, or if it has good stats and personality, I might just keep it. I don't feel guilty when I come up to a player who has found a wild horse, failed at capturing it, and then I catch it. A wild horse isn't anyones until a person captures it. I wouldn't and haven't felt upset at another player because I failed at capturing a horse and they come along and capture it themselves. Again; a wild horse does not belong to anyone until someone captures it.

while I seldom try to catch horses on the rebound, I do often flock to stalled dots on the map, mostly because I'm curious to see what kind of horse (if they are catching) although more often its just someone whose stopped to feed their horse, or chat XD but then I calmly proceed on my way.

When I'm looking for anything thats not on the map (e.g. pyramid) I do tend to go towards people just to see if its there, and have a look if people have stopped not too far out of my way, mainly out of curiosity. I tend to stop more often to check other sites ect, but it is annoying when people come over to see if I've found a wild or something, I could understand if they were close, but not when they make a beeline for me from a while away.

I find it rude when people ask you not to catch a wild horse. It doesn't belong to anyone and I have a right to attempt to capture it. I also find it irritating when a player PMs you, as soon as you enter the isle "If you see a horse tell me ok?" No, not ok. I catch any horse I see (well, I try to) and I don't care if someone else is near by. Almost every horse I catch will be for sale and if you ask nicely, sure, I'll sell. Right now, I want to upgrade my ranch so any horse I find, I buy and put it in auctions since I'm too lazy to advertise it to another player. If someone catches a horse I want, I send them message "Is there any chance the horse is for sale or will be for sale at some point in the future?" If they say no, fine, I move on. If they say yes I ask how much. I'm not going to cry over a horse I never owned.

For everything, there is a season. Horse Isle season just happens to be all year.

The other day, I wasn't looking at my mini map, and saw a horses tail, so thinking it was a wild, i rushed over to it, only to realise it was another player xD silly me. I do agree with ThoroughbredDash though with

So many players ask on area chat if anybodys seen any wilds, so now I always answer no, if i havent, or I've just caught one, if I have, to try and make them either go away or look them selves. I also get annoyed when I've just caught a wild and a player demands that I give it to them, when, for example, they already have three horses and tack, so I just say no, I caught it, so its mine, then you get called mean ect because you have x amount of horses already, when you earnt them. Ah well, players like that are probably why the mute ability was created.

I actually have to agree with you whole-heartedly on this. I had posted this before I began working on Esrohs, and before I had really as much exposure to the game as I do now. :3

I am in the "99% of the time, I'm not even by a horse! Can't I stop without being flocked?" Category. I find it very annoying when I stop to complete a minigame and I suddenly get a PM "Hi, are you catching a wild horse?" (or something like that). I myself don't really go by other players that are standing still unless I absolutely have to. If a player I go by is catching a wild horse, I'll check the breed. If I like it, then I'll wait and if the they fail I'll take my turn. If I don't like it, then I'll continue on my way. I also agree it's quite annoying (and not to mention distracting) when you are catching a horse and a player asks you to not catch it. Wild horses, after all, aren't anyone's until they are caught. wink

Yes! My avatar is my own horse, in case you were wondering. She's a dork, I know.

Hehe I ride a horse and hide behind a tree, so people don't see my name or my horse's tack. It's funny when people flock over to see if I'm a wild. Ive had someone say they were gonna mute me because I did that. I've even fooled the same person twice! XD
