| Hey members,
ive just been wondering for a few years, is there any actual use for the pitchfork?
I know it's for hay but I have only come across to use it in HI1 not HI2.
Do you think it's a pointless tool?

| Even though tou do not use not directly, you are not able to work with hay without it.s would not be able to buy hay, feed your horses hay or use hay in crafting. If we were to actualy "use" the pitchfork by clicking on it the buying, feeding and crafting choices for hay would need to be re-coded which is not a good idea.

| That's weird CaptainSteam.
I've never owned the pitchfork tool, on either game (HI2 Eternal and LC) and have never had a problem buying hay, crafting any of the special hays or feeding my horses hay.
I've also collected all the available bonuses cleaning out a stall in the various liveries.. 
Odd isn't it..

| Didn't say you were wrong, just said it was odd that I had never had any trouble doing anything with hay without the pitchfork..
Sorry if it came out sounding like I did...

Anyway, I went out and purchased a pitchfork on LC, and nothing changed when I crafted or fed.
Hmm does seem like a maybe unused/soon to have a purpose tool to me. Added (2013-05-01, 6:06 PM)

 Just asked two mods if the pitchfork really had a use.
One said yes, can't craft hay without it. Other said they didn't know. 
lol  Seems I'm an oddball because I was able to craft hay without having the tool, and now since I have it, it's fixed itself.

So maybe you DO need it to craft hay. Unless of course you're like me...

| You do need it to craft hay. I just tried crafting some without owning a pitchfork on LC and it says that I do not have a required tool.

| Yes, you need the pitchfork only for crafting hay. When you try to make lucky hay, daisy hay, wildflower hay, or any hay then look at the recipe. It says: "Required Tool: Pitchfork". Like DutchDestiny said, I tried crafting the hay without owning a pitchfork and it said I do not have the required tool.
