So, what 1930's era films do you love that nobody knows about? John Wayne, Claudette Colbert, Don DeFore...well, maybe not John Wayne, but still. A lot of darling actors from the golden age that nobody remembers. I really love those three in Without Reservations (1946), and Claudette Colbert and Melvyn Douglas in She Married Her Boss (1935). The latter is probably one of my new favorite movies for exactly the last few scenes when Richard finally lets go and gets so thoroughly sauced that he vandalizes his own storefront. Following is a list of perhaps the greatest lines in that movie.
Butler: I'm not allowed to think, sir.
Richard: It's traditional for the groom to throw the bride over the threshold.
Richard: Here we go gathering bricks in May, bricks in May, bricks in May...

Little Rascals, its a TV show not a movie but its still cute and hilarious! "If life's a bowl of cherries, then why do I always get the pits?" "To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world." "I miss you even more than I could have believed; and I was prepared to miss you a good deal." Vita Sackville-West
